According to the World Health Organization, it is "a state of complete physical, mental and social well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity".
WHO further states . . . "a resource for everyday life, not the objective of living . . . a positive concept emphasizing social and personal resources as well as physical capabilities".
Then WHO defines mental health as "a state of well being in which the person realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stress of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community".
Defining the physical includes fitness, nutrition, avoiding abuses, strength and flexibility, sex, hygiene and sleep. Exploring mental capabilities, we will begin with thoughts, words, affirmations, and what we see and visualize.
